Really nice hotel at a reasonable price. Located in the middle of three great tourist districts. Note it is in the middle but it isn't one of them. It is about 2KM from all three in dirrent directions: Osaka Station, Dontombori, and Osaka Castle. Now here is the best part. There are great restaurants all around this place. None on your tourist traps. Just really good reasonable food - pick the ones filled with locals. Also, a laundry mat around the corner.

The hotel controls the temperature so you have to suffer 27 degrees Celsius in your room. There is only 1 elevator for 13 floors which is ridiculous. They only clean your room every 3 days and that is minimal leaving dirty glasses and cups around. We stayed in Toyoko inn in other cities and they were much better.

Rooms: Dusty with some sort of weird vent that blows cold air from outside (in the middle of winter!) into the room nearly directly above the bed.

Service: They don't clean at all other than changing towels and linens. The room clearly hasn't been vacuum or dusted, possibly ever. I tested out whether they clean by noting where the dust, hair, and other dirt was. The day they "cleaned" the room, all the dirt was still in the same places. They also don't replace the amenities properly. I use hair ties but half the time they aren't replaced even after they've "cleaned" the room.

Location: quiet which is nice but far from subway and attractions

Building: only 1 elevator for the entire hotel which has 14 floors, so it can take a while to use it and be crowded. The maids leave the doors in the hallways to the outside open the entire time they clean the floor; meaning hours of winter cold coming down the hallway and into the rooms.

Bottom line: this hotel is worse than other APA hotels

The hotel is not bad but way expensive for what it offers. The rooms are tiny . The check-in process takes ages. Stuff doesn’t speak English and they are very slow. There is no WiFi password info in the room, so you have to ask the receptionist by yourself, they didn’t tell us. About the breakfast included, same thing - you have to ask everything by yourself . Plus, the water in bottles provided is hotel branded so no idea what water is inside. Pretty disappointing experience for this price

The low rating is for the poor cleanliness of the room. I read reviews about dust and yes it’s true from what I can see in my room. AND it seems they don’t vacuum properly if at all. I’ve only been a few hours in my room and I found a bloody tissue paper under the desk! So gross! ????Please upgrade your cleaning standards! ?
