Came to Krabi on NYE weekend & all accommodations were booked. After walking into places for an hour, we found Amity/Green House that had 2 beds in a 4 bed door for 300B each. Rooms were decent, spacious and came with a locker (and lock) and a towel. Not a bad place to stay for a couple of nights.

Inconsiderate staff. Before I start the rooms were ok, no privacy curtain, toilets are a long walk, up multiple stairs etc so quite annoying. We arrived way too early for check in (understandably not expecting to get let in) me and my friend both had food poisoning the night before, don’t need to go into detail but sure you can imagine our situation. We asked the lady if it would be possible to be checked in slightly early, whether 30 mins even an hour. As places we have been to before would be fine with this if there was space (bare in mind this hostel has 5 floors) long story short even 5 mins before check in she wouldn’t allow us, the 3 hours we sat there 1 person checked out, and during our stay saw around 4 people. Anyway just found the whole situation very inconsiderate and I understand policy’s fully however feel like empathy can be applied to situations. We clearly needed a lie down, a toilet and an ac.

This place reminded me that not all glowing reviews are earned.

As backpackers, we don’t expect luxury—we’re easy to please and don’t need much. But after this experience, I feel it’s only right to share and help others make an informed choice.

We booked a private room, which unfortunately had such a strong, unpleasant smell that we chose mosquitos over comfort and slept with the windows open. The staff barely spoke English and seemed more interested in their phones than actually responding or making eye contact.

We left after just one night and decided to move on without making a fuss.

Later, I realised I had forgotten my toiletry bag in the room. I called and asked if they could post it to me—I offered to pay online, something simple I’ve done before with other places. But instead of help, I got a string of excuses: “no manager,” “no English,” “we can’t do that,” “you have to come back,” and sometimes they just hung up.

It didn’t feel like a language barrier—it felt like a “we don’t care” attitude.

Because of this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this “Poshtel” to anyone.

We had ants and many mosquitoes in our room. No light switch on the bed and it smelled very moldy :/
But the service was very friendly and the location was good :)

Just AVOID this place. I’ve booked this hostel, but once I came there it appeared it looks like a total disaster. I’m travelling a lot and staying mostly in hostels, but this one - it’s placed above weed shop, it gives the vibe that you can’t feel safe there and I would be scared to even leave my things there and there are no lockers of course. I’ve asked to cancel my reservation, because I was truly disappointed with the standard, the owner agreed for it and told me they will return me money. So far I haven’t seen any money and hotel stopped answering me.
