We recently had the pleasure of staying at Amber Lombok and we cannot recommend the resort highly enough. The private 1 bedroom pool villa which we stayed in was perfect for a couple seeking privacy while at the same time enjoying all the comforts the resort has to offer. The room and amenities were clean and modern with little to no signs of wear and tear. A special mention to the welcoming staff, who made our stay so memorable such as Luis Diaz, Lalu, and countless others. No request was ever too much and everyone we encountered, from the restaurant to amenities staff, displayed exceptional customer service with a warm and friendly smile. The only cons some may encounter is the isolated location, requiring transportation to sight see and venture out of the resort area for tours etc. However if all you are after is to laze about by the pool or beach, then Amber Lombok is perfect.

Visited Amber Hotel Lombok with my husband during a motorbike tour — overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful, with a well-designed space. Our room was clean and spacious, the food was delicious, and the service was generally good. Breakfast included a simple buffet and à la carte menu, with a lovely beachfront view from the restaurant. One point for improvement: our group booked over 20 rooms and arranged a private gala dinner, which was a significant engagement. Unfortunately, the PIC managing our arrival didn’t create a warm or welcoming atmosphere and seemed unprepared. It would’ve helped if she had taken time to understand the client profile and background beforehand, especially considering the group had just completed a long sea journey from Bali to Lombok. In hospitality, first impressions count — a more thoughtful and service-oriented approach would’ve made a better start to what was otherwise a great experience.

I booked the 2-bedroom villa for my family and honestly, we had such an amazing time. The place was super comfortable, clean, and perfect for a family stay. We enjoyed it so much that we actually regretted only booking for one night. The view from the villa was beautiful, and the whole resort had such a calm, peaceful vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can really take a break from all the noise and stress of everyday life. If you’re looking for a quiet escape, this is definitely the spot. The restaurant at the resort was also a pleasant surprise—the food was really good, with lots of options, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well-cooked. The staff were super friendly and helpful too, which made the experience even better. The highlight of my stay was seeing water buffalos just casually chilling at the beach!!! It was so surreal and charming, definitely not something you get to see every day, and it made the stay very memorable. We’re definitely planning to come back next time for more than just a night!

The property has been quite well-maintained since our last visit 2 years ago. A number of additions/improvements like a nice deck bed in the balcony, and a rubber seal under the balcony door to keep insects out. The restaurant has a lovely view and the food is good and affordable. There are some stray dogs roaming the beach area who may pop by to say hi - hope Amber Resort treats them kindly.
