Amazing unspoilt island, no roads, no tv, just peace and quiet. Staff are the friendliest we’ve ever experienced, nothing is too much trouble and great sense of humour. Food in the restaurant was excellent and overall quality of accommodation is first class. If you really want to chill and get back to nature this is the place. Snorkelling off the island is amazing and you can get boat trips to nearby blue coral reefs with wide variety of fish on show. Thoroughly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at AMAHELIA RESORT, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The level of service provided by the staff was exemplary, with every detail carefully attended to, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. They were warm, courteous, and always eager to help, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The food was a standout highlight of my stay. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor, reflecting both quality ingredients and culinary expertise. The variety offered something for every palate, from local specialties to international cuisines. Additionally, the ambiance of the dining areas was elegant and inviting, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a delightful journey for the senses. I highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch service and an unforgettable gastronomic experience. This hotel sets the standard for excellence.

Absolutely STUNNING!! Location location location! Being directly opposite the beautiful crystal clear blue ocean was a perfect spot to relax/read a book and do nothing. We chose Amahelia as they also had a main large pool for our boy to swim in safely. We booked a private villa with a private pool and it was beautiful, we stayed there with our 3 year old toddler and the private pool allowed us to swim while he was taking a nap. The wait staff (especially Habibi) were beyond amazing, welcoming & such happy people. They were very friendly and playful with our toddler and our boy can’t stop talking about them! The food was delicious- especially the nasi bakar, beef rendang & the Pepes Ikan!! Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!

The communication with Hendra from the front office was excellent. He also met us at the speed boat on arrival out the front of the resort. The staff could not be more helpful. The air-conditioned thatched roof villa was lovely and clean and had a massive bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The wet edge pool is next to the restaurant and looks out over the water. It is long enough to do laps or just chill out. The meals were delicious and we enjoyed the breakfast included in our rate. The fresh fruit and granola Naga bowl was so good. Also Eggs Benedict or Asian dish options. Free use of stand up paddle boards and kayaks caught our adventurous spirit. Great snorkeling within 50m from the resort entering straight if the beach. We arranged a private local boat (jukung) and captain (Hassan) to take us snorkeling to 3 spots. Gili Rengit (fish and coral), Gili Layar (turtles, fish and coral and the largest clown fish community) which was our favourite and Gili Gede (blue coral). Gili Asahan is a jewel still young from tourism. We felt privileged to experience its beautiful charm.

There are several beachfront resorts on Gili Asahan, and Amahelia stands out with its swimming pool and offerings of seaside massages, snorkeling, kayaking, and other water activities. The beachfront spa is a truly unique experience—enjoying a shiatsu massage surrounded by soothing aromas while listening to the sound of the waves. Since there's only one massage therapist, be sure to make a reservation in advance. For snorkeling, a boatman will take you to three different islands, with at least three snorkeling stops, giving you plenty of time to explore freely. Life jackets are optional, so you can enjoy the experience however you prefer. We especially recommend the hotel’s restaurant, NAGA Restaurant, which serves delicious dishes with local flavors. Every bite was a delightful surprise and a treat for the taste buds. If you're visiting Gili Asahan, you must try NAGA Restaurant!
