2, Jalan Austin Heights 8/6, Taman Mount Austin, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
Central location. Easy walk or short Grab ride to eateries and AEON. The room is decent. Don't expect quality like those hotels in city areas of course. The main concern with budget hotel is that it is clean. Many interesting shops for kids like indoor playground, art jams, dog cafes within 5min walking distance. The receptionists are friendly.
The hotel is situated in a nice location where there is plenty of food and activities. Can engage in food delivery if you are feeling lazy late at night! The ground floor has nothing, lvl 1 is the reception and the rest are rooms. I was surprised at how many rooms were there at the second level. Room: 4/5 Not luxurious, but clean and has all the basic necessities. Aircon is strong and has no funky smell. There are water dispensers near the lift on every floor i believe. Bed is pretty comfortable, but not the best. Security: 4/5 Access to the second floor and above requires a room card. The door can be opened with a room card, and there are two locking systems. Noises: You will be able to hear loud laughters from other rooms, and cars driving by. But I don't think it is a big deal. Overall i give it a solid 4/5 for a hotel that provides basic needs. If we take into consideration the amazing price point, i will bump it up to 4.5/5!
The rooms and bedsheets are clean, amazing location to travel out to hipster cafes and places to go. But the window twin bedrooms are facing the back alleys with rubbish. Maybe book early, they can try to give a better facing location of the window.
The location of this hotel is great because of its proximity to the Austin Nanyang area - a short 3 min walk and you’ll be able to access lots of food, massage parlours, nail salons and boutique stores! The rooms are clean and a pretty good size, housekeeping was great and the staff is very friendly. One thing to note though, if the room is facing the main road, you might hear a lot of loud cars/motorbikes revving at night… but a good set of ear plugs fixed that issue for me. Otherwise you might want to request for non-street facing rooms. I’ll definitely be staying here again!
Do you remember the first time you fell in love? That tightening of your chest, a slight rise in pulse, the inability to maintain steady eye contact. This is what it was like to stay at 1 Million. I still find my mind drifting, clinging to the posh sheets, the eclectic decor, and the incredible hospitality. Expect yourself to enter a whole other universe when you stay there, one where even the walls whisper, ‘it’s okay. you’re safe here now.’ I couldn’t recommend this oasis more. Also my friend Clarissa got jumpscared by my other friend Ed and that was very funny. Shoutout to Elly for the banging stay ?
