This is one of the best places I've stayed in Taiwan, thanks to the convenient access to delicious food in their cafe and the easy-to-use laundry facilities. While the hostel-style rooms are clean and comfortable, the thin walls do allow some noise from neighboring rooms, such as coughing.

This is overall a nice hotel to stay at. It is very affordable and the rooms are very clean and have everything you need. It's not fancy but I had a very restful and comfortable stay. I really appreciated the free use of their laundry machines. Their common room also had a lot of free food like ramen, fruit, bread and drinks etc. The lady at the front desk isn't there a lot so you might have to call and wait for her when you first check in.

I decided to go for a short trip gataway to kaoshiung after I ended my work trip in Manila. However, I arrived at Kaoshiung on a busy weekend with loads of concerts and event. Therefore, most of the hotels were either sold out/ or jacked up by a few folds. I managed to secure a room in Start Hotel for about 50usd which is stiĺl pricey. Location wise was less than 3minutes walk to the mrt. Upon arrival, a lady attended to me and prepare a room for me. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She lead me to my room and show me around. There are noodles and drinks dispenser all at complimentary. I also like the toilet as facial was was also provided ????. Amazing Taiwan ?? Only downside was that the wall partition are quite badly sound proof and there was this couple talking non stop till midnight and I really can't rest properly.

The hotel is very affordable and has a nice common space with complimentary food, including ramen, frozen noodles, fruit, vegetables, and tea. Free laundry machines are a plus! The location is very convenient, and is close to the MRT station and Liuhe night market. The hotel owner is very nice and accommodating when I needed to extend my stay by one day. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Kaohsiung!
