Good location near Railroad station and not far from the main attractions (Forbidden City approx 3km, Ming city wall 1km, Temple of Heaven 4 km). Extremely small rooms but clean . sort of like private room in a hostel. The building has been a residence of the American communists Helen Snow and her husband in 1930s. Restaurant in the hotel. This place is in a hutong so don't expect the same standard you would in Europe.

Zhong An hotel Stayed 3 nights in July 2024. Quiet location, easy walk from main train station and subway/metro/tube. Easy walk from station with wheelie suitcase I don't understand the reviews that say they heard noise from trains. I stayed 3 nights and it was super-quiet. Easy access to subway. But the hire bikes usually parked outside are the best way to explore the different areas nearby especially the hutongs. Hotel has lovely peaceful internal open-air courtyard for breakfast/dinner Breakfast was excellent Hotel Clean Bed firm and comfortable Good aircon

Location is perfect. Staff is very friendly. Cleanliness and the interior design and the bed were excellent. I am so happy to find this hotel .

Booked for a short stay, yet this hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and fully equipped, the bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and always willing to help. The location is convenient and close to many central sites. Finally, as this hotel is the former residence of journalist Edgar Snow, I had the opportunity to lear about the historical meaning of the place and the era it was built.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently in a family room. Hotel is 10 minutes walking to Beijing railway station, where you can take line 2 subway. Also bus service to Daxing airport start/finish almost opposite from hotel. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, particularly bed/pillows. Important point to note is that there is no lift. Hotel is four storied, so if you have mobility issues, better to be in lower floor. Although they provide free luggage handling to rooms. Overall, highly recommend.
