Nestled along the alleyways of Balestier Road, Hey Slow Joe Cafe has stolen the hearts of unsuspecting passers-by with their rich coffee and delectable baked goodies. Their tarts have been the star of the show, alongside some good ol' cuppa joe (coffee, basically).
Situated within Farrer Park, Boon Keng and Bendemeer MRT, Hey Slow Joe Cafe is easily accessible and within a 10 minute walking distance of the three MRTs (add about 5 minutes more if you are walking from Bendemeer MRT). There are bus stops nearby if you don't feel like walking, especially in this Singapore heat!
Walking towards the shop facade, you will be greeted by a quaint, minimalistic storefront with the Hey Slow Joe branding on the door. The interior is lit blue with an adorable neon sign right next to the window. Despite it's small size, the cafe feels big with its large floor-to-ceiling windows.

Their menu has a rather extensive coffee selection ranging from Black ($5) to Affogato ($8). There are a few other drinks available as well such as the usual Chai ($7) or a Shu's Brew ($6). You can also add on and extra shot or even a Vanilla Bean Gelato for $4. We recommend you to come down and have a taste of their menu!
Who doesn't love a freshly baked goodie? Hey Slow Joe has a few pastries up their sleeves, such as Nutella Blondies or a Pecan Tart. There's a selection of brownies, tarts and pastries to try! Their Lemon Tart looks so aesthetically pleasing, and their Curry Chicken Puff looks bigger than the usual puffs we see! They have also come out with an Eggless Lemon Blueberry Crumble Cake!
Hey Slow Joe Cafe seems true to its name, giving us delicious food and imploring us to take a step back and savour what life has offered (as well as their goodies!). Head down to Hey Slow Joe at 1 Tessensohn Rd today!
