If you're familiar with the best bingsu in town, Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe's upcoming seasonal flavour will have jumping out of your seat. Everyone, meet your flavour of the season: Musang King Bingsu!
For the uninitiated, bingsu (short for patbingsu) is a famous Korean shaved ice dessert that's usually topped with fresh fruits, red beans, sweet toppings, or ice cream - depending on your chosen flavour. Since the durian season is upon us, Hanbing is adding a local twist to this much-loved Korean dessert by amplifying the flavour with the King of Fruits!
Set to launch on 4 July 2019, the Musang King Bingsu is a seasonal favourite in Hanbing! Delighting durian lovers since their cafe opening in 2016, it dethrones the crowd-favourite Mango Snow Ice whenever it hits the menu. That's how amazing it is!
Crowned with premium Musang King durian paste, we love the way it sits comfortably on a mountain of shaved ice. It also comes with side toppings such as crunchy cornflakes and glutinous rice!
"The key ingredient is the 100% pure Musang King durian paste," explains Su San, the owner of Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe. "This year, we made a slight twist and this time, it comes with glutinous rice. Previously, we had it with ice cream."
Besides the much-awaited Musang King Bingsu, Hanbing will also be launching Snow-On-The-Go, the first Bingsu TakeAway Concept in Malaysia on 4 July 2019. You can spot this takeaway counter at Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe outlets in Nu Sentral, Kuala Lumpur and SS15 Courtyard, Subang Jaya.
Here's the first look of Musang King Bingsu as a takeaway! Su San revealed that the inspiration hits after customers requested for smaller bingsu takeaway in convenient packaging. Thanks to it, everyone can enjoy a cold bingsu while shopping in the mall or heading to their next destination.
Apart from the cafe's popular bingsu flavours such as Mango Snow Ice and Blueberry Snow Ice Cheese, Su San also shared that Snow-On-The-Go will serve all seven bingsu flavours from their dine-in menu.
