Very authentic & traditional korean food. I like the red bean soup and the miso soup with rice. I like the place as it is made from old korean house & the interior matches the tradition & i admired the simplicity of the business selling only basics on the menu & perfect them.
Love the simple, cosy and traditional ambience here. Korean red bean porridge & sweet rice drink taste wonderful and it's super filling! :)
Very friendly and helpful owner who helped us with the menu There is sugar on the side so you can add it into the porridge if you find it bland! Very healthy & homey meal ?
Have been addicted to Red bean porridge since I visited South Korea so this trip decided to find it in Jeju too. Was surprised there is only 1 such shop and decided to pay a visit. Arrived when it just opened and there were already people. They do not have English menu so it might be a little tricky for non Koreans. They don't have a lot of items on the menu but I came knowing what I wanted so I just ordered the red bean porridge. They didn't take long to prepare and serve it to me. Was quite surprised they do serve banchan as well. Was simple 2 dishes but I didn't get to touch it. This place allows diner to choose whether to have the red bean porridge in sweet or savoury way. The red bean porridge also looked more like a dessert like red bean thick soup with rice balls. The red bean soup is only mildly sweet so one can choose to have sweet by adding brown sugar or savoury by adding salt to it. Portion was big and it was very filling, very well worth the price and highly recommended.
Red bean porridge to order for two bowls. Very traditional cooking style I guess. The side dishes for radish kimchi and the chilli told me the story of old days. We walked there from folk village and quite full house. Different experience to try.
