5X3X+26W, Harbour Bay Downtown Sei Jodoh, Jl. Duyung, Sungai Jodoh, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia
Went here for late lunch on a Saturday to skip the crowd, food wasn’t fantastic neither was it bad. Only thing was there weren’t any pricing on the menu which was one of the reason I hesitated to come here in the first place. Thought I’d give it a shot and yea, you can see from the pictures and make your own judgement. We only ordered 1 fish and that took atleast 1/3 of the bill. Could only imagine if you ordered crab and others. My guess is the price are as such due to its location. There are many other similar restaurants in Batam but due to time constraints, we couldn’t venture further. All in all, if you want a quick and easy seafood place, this might be it but if you want quality, look elsewhere.
Given where it’s located, it’s pretty obvious it’s aimed at tourists, especially those who don’t have time to go far. Prices reflect that too: not exactly cheap, but some of the dishes are decent. It’s a big space with plenty of seating, though it wasn’t the cleanest. We had a few houseflies around while eating. On the plus side, there’s a sink with soap, which is handy if you’re ordering crabs. We liked the steam fish and veggie dishes the most. The fried chicken was crispy but a bit too hard. The otah is charged by the stick (Rp 5,000 each), and they were pretty tasty—just a bit spicy, but still okay for kids to try. Oh and people can smoke openly so for parents who are anal, here’s the warning.
