Had a meeting at Plaza Indonesia and opted for Wee Nam Kee for lunch. Ordered the roast chicken rice set with cakwe saus padang. Food came out quickly, kudos to the team for being swift and able to handle lunch hour rush. Rice was fragrant and complemented the tasty chicken perfectly. And of course their chili sauce mixed with ginger! Yum.

We visited this place for dinner Sunday night. We had a larger group, and at first we were told that we might have to wait for a while since we are a bigger group and most of the table already has reservations. However, as we were about to leave and look for another place to dine, one of the wait staff says that they can accommodate us since the group that made the reservation is very late and they didn't call to confirm and is likely a no show, which they did no-showed in the end. So we were seated immediately.

We ordered their signature whole chicken half and half, crispy fried Sotong and the broccoli since they ran out of other vegetable options.

So, the reason for the lower rating of 3/5 is the quality of the food was not good at all during this visit. The chicken rice and the broth was way too salty. It might be that it's the end of the day and their broth has evaporated a bit and gets saltier, but definitely, it was too salty for us to consume both the rice and the chicken broth.

For the chicken, we recommend the steamed chicken more instead of the roasted. The star of the show was the crispy fried Sotong. The broccoli portion was super small and was just so and so.

Overall, not a place we'd return to when there are lots of options of food to choose from!
