Was about to walk away from this gem when the boss came out and greeted us. It was the greatest decision to eat in this restaurant. Their food is super authentic. The chilli is great. The beef are super tender be it smashed or in soup. The squid is well grilled to perfection. The egg and tofu with the peanut sauce is a perfect harmonious mix when I put in my mouth. Definitely will come back again for the food. It will be better with a bigger crowd to share everything.

Our dinner was great here. The grilled ribs and oxtail we ordered were so tender, very nicely done and so tasty. The staff, owners and chef are so genuinely friendly people. 5 stars service. We will come back again and bring other family members to dine here. Highly recommended!

Ordered their legendary Smashed Beef Ribs (Iga Penyet) with Belacan Chilli, and also their recommended side dish Tahu Telur. And we also ordered Smashed Duck (Bebek Penyet) with Sambal Korek. The Smashed Beef Ribs was very good, it’s fork tender, fall of the bone, and well marinated. The Belacan Chilli was nice too. Smashed Duck was good and meat was tender. The Sambal Korek was spicy and good. Goes well with the duck. Tahu Telur was delicious. It’s just a simple omelette with tofu inside but it’s comforting, and really goes well with the rich peanut sauce. Overall it’s a nice experience. Decent portion, and price was reasonable. Recommended place for authentic Indonesian food in Bugis area. Service was good, staff were accommodating, owner was friendly and speaking indonesian to customers.

What truly sets Warung Leko apart, however, is the service. The staff were absolutely fantastic—courteous, polite, and attentive throughout our visit. We were incredibly touched when they showed their gratitude by personally escorting us to the door as we left the restaurant. That level of genuine hospitality is rare and highly appreciated. Came here with zero expectations and left seriously impressed. Everything we ordered just hit right — food came out hot, flavours were on point and nothing felt like an afterthought. The sambal...legit the star of the table. Spicy, rich, super shiok. Was putting it on everything 😂 Really solid spot if you’re around Bugis and craving some Indonesian cuisine/taste. Would 100% come back.
