Delicious Thai curry that comes with a side of steamed white rice. My only gripe is that almost every dish on the menu is priced a bit high, mostly 75k and above. The service was great and lunch came out quickly. The environment is classy and clean. Very calming.
Outstanding food at affordable prices. My favorite one was the deep fried tofu with cheese sauce (dau hu xot pho mai), it was way beyond my expectation. Service was pleasant and food came out pretty fast. I will definitely come back!
My friend took me there when we couldn’t decide on what to eat. A nice restaurant with relaxing atmosphere. The good side was it not try to make everything Bushism-oriented, which could make the atmosphere too religiously heavy. The foods were good, tasty and flavorful. But I’m not into the faux meat-name of the dishes there. It totally destroys the vegan theme. Price was decent and has good value.
During my visit to Ho Chi Minh City, after having non-vegetarian meals almost every day, my friend suggested trying something different and took me to a vegan restaurant called Viet Chay for dinner. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the experience turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a simple yet colorful and spacious setup that feels calm and welcoming. The ambiance is clean and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a quiet meal away from the busy city streets. Viet Chay offers a wide variety of vegan dishes, ranging from spring rolls and soups to flavorful rice and noodle-based meals. We ordered Fruit Spring Rolls, a warm Vegetable Soup with Noodles, and a rice-based dish (the name escapes me, but you can check it in the pictures). Each dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were fresh, balanced, and satisfying—even for someone who usually eats non-vegetarian food. What stood out was the attentive and polite staff, who made sure we were comfortable and served everything with a smile. Overall, if you’re in Ho Chi Minh City and looking to try something different—or just want a break from meat-heavy meals—I highly recommend visiting Viet Chay. Whether you’re vegan or not, the food, atmosphere, and service will surely impress you. A must-try spot for a light, healthy, and tasty dining experience!
