Vanakkam India in Mount Austin offers a delightful dining experience with its vibrant ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. The Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice was undoubtedly the highlight of our meal—flavorful, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. The dish strikes a wonderful balance between authentic Indian flair and modern fusion. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy yet lively, making it an ideal spot for a casual hangout or family dinner. To top it off, the background music features the latest Tamil hits, adding to the overall experience without being overpowering. If you’re in the Mount Austin area, this place is definitely worth a visit for its tasty food, pleasant vibe, and a touch of nostalgic 2K tunes.

I really love the palak paneer, chicken beriyani and chettinut chicken, do order them! Waiter is kind enough to recommend us the popular food. Didn’t like the naan tho
Great South Indian dishes. North Indian dishes were not completely authentic and had a South Indian swing to it, but still delicious. Best dishes I’ve had were hariyali chicken tikka, paneer butter masala and rasmalai. Mutton Rogan Josh was too watery and wasn’t authentic. Naan could have been cooked for a longer time in the tandoor. Mutton sukka was very bland and underspiced.
Had a nice meal with super quick service during our recent trip to JB. The pepper fish varuval is a definite must try and the prawn classic was super soft and flavorful. Totally worth the money, and best of all, it was light on the stomach and digested easily.
