Pratap Bhawan, 5 Bahadur Shah Zafer Marg : 110002, ITO, Delhi, 110002, India
Udupi cafe is nestled in a tiny bit of long and tall building here on ITO. Coming here to enjoy the South Indian food is awesome delight always. The filter coffee and talks over it in cafe is great delight. Nostalgic, vibrant and wonderful experience always. Seems the management is changed since last time I visited. Still the vibes are the same. This makes it special and happiness loving ambience. Do go and find what best you get here for your own stories to tell.
Yesterday's visit to Udupi Cafe was an absolute delight! I had the pleasure of trying their Mix Veg Uttapam, Plain Onion Rava Dosa, and their Filter Coffee, and each dish was incredibly tasty. The Uttapam was perfectly cooked with a generous mix of fresh vegetables, and the Onion Rava Dosa was wonderfully crispy and flavorful. However, the real stars of the meal were the chutneys! They were truly lip-smacking, offering a fantastic burst of flavor that perfectly complemented each dish. To top it all off, the service was great. If you're looking for authentic and delicious South Indian food in a serene setting, Udupi Cafe is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next meal there!
I first visited Udupi café in 1984 but kept on going back with my family and friends for its filter coffee, Rava masala dosa and kokum soda. It was the first place I ever tried any authentic South Indian dish or drink. The sambhar has a powerful flavour profile of hing (asafoetida), which is light on stomach with various combinations. The Bene special Dosa is crisp, with light podi masala and served with boiled masala aloo, delicious onion and coconut chutney and sambhar. I ordered medu vada and Kokum soda my favourite which was so refreshing and not over sweet but sour which was like a energy and immunity booster drink. I keep coming back to this place for its taste, hospitality and ever evolving kolam designs on the walls of this beautiful cosy eatery. Udpi at Pratap Bhawan is a hidden gem in central Delhi for those craving authentic South Indian vegetarian food. I recently visited and tried their Rawa Dosa, which was crisp and flavorful, served with delicious sambhar and chutneys. At Last we have tried South Indian Pan . The place is clean, the service is quick, and the staff is polite and welcoming—making the overall experience really pleasant. Their filter coffee is also worth a mention! Sustainability: Restaurant is steel spoonto support sustainability. It’s a budget-friendly spot, perfect for students, office-goers, or families who want tasty food without burning a hole in the pocket. The location is convenient too—just a short walk from ITO Metro Station (Blue Line). Highly recommended for a satisfying and affordable South Indian meal in Delhi!
