The duck is simply exquisite. You can forgo the other dishes and order the duck alone. Make sure you call first to ask the availability of the duck.
I have had eaten Peking Duck all around the world, but I have never eaten one like in this restaurant. I was surprised that the first few bites actually melt in your mouth. When it’s piping hot, eat the first few pieces with sugar. It will melt in the most aromatic flavor of smoked apple wood duck flavored. Most impressive. The fish and soup were also very impressive. Highly recommended to try when coming to Beijing
We came here for Christmas Eve dinner and ordered many things. The hostess spoke English and was very sweet. Once you sit down, you're given traditional Chinese 'welcome tea' that is pleasantly warm and sweet. We began our meal with century quail eggs. We expected four or five but were surprised with a bowl of ~15! They were dressed with a deliciously sour sauce and garnished with fresh cilantro and thinly sliced spicy pepper. We continued our meal with a tofu stew. This was my favorite part! The broth had a salty-nutty flavor and the tofu had a nice chew. Another highlight of the meal was the Peking duck. Carved tableside and accompanied by hoisin sauce, scallions cut into brushes, and thin wheat-flour pancakes and steamed buns, it was truly tasty. We also ordered some Sichuan chicken and fried rice. For dessert, we had mango sago - a sweet end to a great meal!
Michelin resraurant at very reasonable price! Service was excellent! Duck was roasted in a woodfired oven and prepared only after you have placed the order. Absolutely lovely! We had aboit 10 dishes and all were deliciously prepared. Not too salty too, just right. Cod fish, seasoned pork tenderlion, cauliflower in cantonese style. The soup was nourishing! We all had a grear time!
We were tonight at this fantastic venue and of course we had the Peking Duck. Just to say it was awesome would be an understatement. It was the best I’ve ever had! This place is absolutely recommendable if you’re going to visit Peking. Besides The forbidden city it’s another must have visited venue in town.
