Buddha Vegetarian Paradise is amazing! First off - it's Chinese vegetarian which basically makes it vegan. The place has a big buffet - you take a plate, fill it up and then take it to the counter to be weighed. The prices are very good - a large meal for two only cost us 230ntd - that's just 6 euros. They have a wide range of tofu and wheat gluten fake meat style products, as well as lots of different vegetables. A good place to visit for quick, healthy and cheap food. Big recommendation!
The best soy milk in Taiwan , sold separately. Excellent varied food, kind service, cheap price, large seating are, good soup and water. In my opinion, the best buffet I've ever had in Taiwan, and I've had a lot. All I wish is that it was open a bit later. I absolutely love this place. It's healthy, not greasy, great quality, and a great atmosphere. I would recommend it as my personal favorite vegetarian restaurant in Taipei.
One of the best vegetarian eateries in Taipei city. The food is amazing, you have a lot of things to choose from, many customised ones available only in this place. I love their 獅子頭 (fake-meatballs with pieces of radish and celery), potato-carrot-taro "mayo" salad (I would make it more salty though), fried mushrooms, leafy greens and more. They offer two types of rice: white and 胚芽飯 which is a mix of white rice, black rice, brown rice, mung beans, red beans, chickpeas, and marble beans. The service is good, the lady at the counter is extremely nice, especially to old customers. Aside from ready-to-grab dishes you can also buy peanuts, the 獅子頭 in a box, dumplings and other goodies, all made by them. One thing you should not leave without is a bottle of their oatmilk. It will literally change your life.
This spot is great for a filling meal or a light snack. I got a late afternoon snack here, all the hits: radish cake, runbing, fried mushrooms ?. Good variety (lots more veggies I didn’t get), kind staff, always a little busy. Been so many times, highly recommended. A note about business hours: I went at 3pm and they were closed, said come back at 5pm. So I’m guessing they take a break from ~2:30-5pm.
All vegan (even excluding garlic and onion) pay-by-weight meals in a spacious, air conditioned setting. Veggies and tofu were super flavourful, with lots of fun mock meats and filled rolls.
