My partner and I stumbled across Rosy as we were finishing up in Akihabara. I felt immediately welcomed from the sign out front welcoming people from all walks of life (all races, all religions, all sexual orientations, all genders, all abilities, etc). We were surprised but happy to see that they offered a tasting menu, not only that, but it was available to be made vegan. The six course menu was very cohesive, never felt heavy in the stomach, and each dish had its own unique and deliciously delicate flavour. The ambiance is very cozy, helped by the fact that it is tucked away from the busy streets. The host was very friendly and explained each dish. They made us feel very taken care of. Being limited to English myself, it was helpful that they are fluent in English. All in all, would highly recommended. They are very good with making dishes with local ingredients as well as having many options for all dietary needs!
Liked their concept of sustainable kitchen, fresh organic ingredients and dietary friendly options. Vegan options like Hummus bread (tastes as good as it looks) and white soybean curry will make you full. Salad’s dressing was interesting as well.
Delicious dinner, with both meat and vegetarian/vegan options. Our waiter was lovely, spoke great english, and explained all the dishes beautifully. Service was fairly quick but very relaxed in a nice atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend this spot. Delicious food, great spot. The vegan rolls were especially delicious!
We ate at Rosy twice during our week long stay in Tokyo, the food was so good the first time, we had to go back and try the rest of the menu. There is one chef, and one waiter, sometimes they have a kitchen aid but between the 2 or 3 of them they put so much love and care into the food and the experience. This is an incredible spot for both omnivore and vegan food, lots of vegetarian options as well. I am vegan and my boyfriend is not, the food was incredible for both of us. Very unique, gourmet food. The waiters English is excellent if you are unfamiliar with Japanese and they do have an English menu that makes everything very easy. Both times we went, there were bigger groups of friends/family eating, drinking, laughing and enjoying their time together, the atmosphere is very cozy/homey and comfortable. They have a large wine selection & several deserts. We sat in the back near the kitchen both times to observe the chef as he worked. You can taste the passion and enjoyment he has for what he creates in every bite and it is incredible to see how he runs the kitchen by himself. The waiter was a pleasure to speak with and had some great recommendations for us to check out during our stay in Tokyo.
If I could give 6 stars I would! The food from the appetisers, mains and dessert was divine! The ingredients were fresh and flavourful, the presentation was beautiful, the combinations of textures were a pleasure to eat. Ambiance was great as well and service was pretty quick! Must for vegans and vegetarians but they also have a few meat dishes. We will be back!
