Thanks to others' reviews, I decided to eat at Shine Thong in Central World's food court. It offers vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered two dishes with steamed rice, totaling 65 baht. It's quite affordable for a city food court. The food's presentation was good, and the serving size was generous. I had stir-fried broccoli and Massaman curry. Both were vegan. The broccoli was tasty, and the Massaman curry, although a bit diluted, was still good. If you are a Vegan make sure you ask which dishes has egg. When I ordered there were three dishes that contained egg. The stir fry pumpkin, stir fry glass noodles and the stir fry bitter gourds. Since the food is premade, it comes cold, but that's typical for vegetarian/vegan options in Thailand's food courts. I consider it a blessing to have vegan food in Central World! There are two food courts in Central World, one on the 7th floor and one on the 1st floor (ground floor). Shine Thong is on the 1st floor, and the food court is called HUG THAI. It's very clean and has a new look with an Asian theme, featuring wood and modern furniture. Payment options include a cash card available at the front of the food court. Alternatively, you can scan a QR code if you have a Thai bank account, eliminating the need to exchange for a cash card.
A bit difficult to find the food court. It's inside Hug Thai at 1F section D. I went in the evening and the food looked like it had been sitting there for a while and not that great. But it was tasty and portions were generous. 80 baht for 3 sides with rice.
Since discovering this establishment, I have made it a daily habit to dine here till I had to leave Phuket. Each dish is meticulously prepared with exceptional flavor. The two servers who are consistently present are also highly accommodating and knowledgeable. This tofu dish was my favorite, I don’t know the name so please share if you do ?
I eat here daily during my stays in Bangkok. Affordable, convenient and great tasting vegetarian food court. Located on Ground Floor Food Court, purchase a cash card and you’re good to go!
