All the food we ordered are delicious. It is above our expectations. The service is very fast. Very nice restaurant interior.

Fancy classy old school restaurant near the Yu Garden, food was decent and delicious but nothing amazing. We ordered some classic shanghainese dish as it was our first time in Shanghai. Food was served fast and service is alright, overall pleasant dining experience.

Not michelin guided nor star but very memorable old restaurant (1875). Highly recommend their not overwhelming-sweet crystal shrimp (can taste the ginger but t’wont annoy you at all) and spicy beef soup -dont remember the dish name but it came with lots of veggies and thinly sliced beef. Sweet and sour fish was good too and dont have bones as they used mandarin fish. My 1yo baby enjoyed the meal very much too. Service was quick and servers were friendly and attentive. We initially ordered 4 main courses but the server came back and said we ordered too much food for 2 adults and 1 baby which we thought they’re thoughtful and no foods left to waste. Good initiative. I would definitely come back if happen to be in Shanghai again.

Despite not having explanations in English or someone who spoke English to help us, I think we did good with our choices. Basically we stuck to pork plates and they were tasty. A lot to laugh about it.. specially about the quail eggs that came with the raised pork and no one knew what they were. Good beer and salad though.
