Not many places in town offer gluten-free and vegan options, but this one does! The food is well-seasoned and healthy, which is a big plus. Recommend: japanese set The downside is that the air conditioning wasn’t working well, and everyone was sweating. The service time was a bit lengthy, but I’ll definitely return!

Safudou is the perfect place to go as a celiac (Gluten Free / GF) in Taipei. It has a huge range of options for vegetarian and vegan meals. Both times we went, I ordered the Oyakodon set meal which I have included. Please note this is a vegetarian dish but there are a lot of vegan options. They also had a lot of desserts like fluffy pancakes but I didn’t order any as I was SO full. Please note it can be a little hard to find the restaurant, as you have to go into a building and then up some stairs to the first floor.

Nice little restaurant serving both vegan and vegetarian options. The entire restaurant is gluten free which is hard to find in Taiwan. We went at an off time around 3pm but still received friendly service! Food was clean, not overly salty or oily. We ordered roasted vegetable curry and sweet & sour. Vegetable curry came with a refreshing and tasty salad. One can add $190nt to include a drink (coffee or tea) and a gluten free dessert. Well worth it. Our food was delicious. Will be back again soon.

i was very happy to find a 100% gluten-free restaurant in Taipei, as it can be a bit tricky to eat gluten-free here. I tried the matcha soufflé and they were perfect! Will definitely be back to try more stuff from the menu :)
