An obscure little shop in a quiet location closer to 2nd link. Small shop with dated atmosphere and dingy looking setting. You might be wary of the looks at first. However, the food is really good. Especially liked the Sui Yan signature tofu recommended by the lady boss. Should have ordered a large. Maybe next time! The mee goreng was also good. The special veggie of the day in spicy sauce was also nice. Honourable mentions include the bah kut teh and yam ring. Both very nice also. The portions are pretty big so we really over ordered but they allowed us to takeaway so we don’t waste food. The lady boss was friendly and quite humorous. Service was prompt enough but actually not many filled tables during weekday dinner. Don’t expect any nice environment or nice toilet it’s just a no frills mom & pop eatery with good food at reasonable prices. No necessity to drive all the way there to try but if you’re in the area, looking for vegetarian food, this is a nice local stop - don’t forget to try the Sui Yan signature tofu!
First visit here. Lady boss is very friendly and helped to point out some CNY goodies are not suitable for me as it contains eggs. Enjoyed their mee goreng. Happy to grab some snacks for the festive season.
The food is delicious and can be the nostalgic taste found in JB??
