Love the ambiance of this joint. Was greeted by the doorman and they have the loveliest staff that is attentive and conscientious of your needs. I personally didn’t get a cocktail but they looked lovely as ever and was shocked to see that they had a Jasmine IPA? to quench my thirst. Although, the real showstopper was the bone marrow soup that I ordered and I absolutely couldn’t get enough of the bone marrow? The location of this place is amazing because it is centralized and walking distance to all the iconic spots within the vicinity.
I was looking for a place where we could try all the different street and common food in one location. We have been having the same old restaurants that serve the usual restaurant dish and I finally stumbled upon this gem. First up, the service was excellent. I could see our server (in cool black glasses) always looking over at us and dropped everything so she could attend to us immediately. English was also very fluent. The food was the real stand out here. Though portions are average, the quality of the dishes really shone. We ordered about 8 different dishes and most of them were well prepared. Their menu was not too extensive and we could try a little bit of everything. Even the coconut water was amazingly cold and tasty. My favourite was the black rice cake, loco moco (yeah it's not Vietnamese) and the meat on a sugar cane thing. Excellent and a definite choice for me to return to bring my future guests. Price was extremely value for money too.
What can I say apart from WOW! The bone marrow beef noodle was truely something special. This family run, contemporary jazz playing restaurant really pulls the stops out with their innovative fusion menu. The creamy, custardy bone marrow was enhanced by a traditional layer of Vietnamese toppings and the bun bo, enhanced with shrimp paste giving a meaty umami punch. A perfect and filling combo. Will be back for the Vietnamese Loco Moco!
Very unique menu giving an unorthodox taste of Vietnam with western influences tied in. Everything we ate was very tasty and presented well. The servers were so nice and attentive and it was a lovely experience. For being a fancier restaurant the prices are fair, the portion sizes are a bit small though so keep in mind to order an appetiser or dessert
The 5 star reviews on this restaurant are spot on.Meal was very tasty and the service was top shelf. A casual atmosphere was enhanced by the delightful waitress who speaks near perfect English and was very engaging for a conversation to learn more about the customer. Well done to all and many thanks. This is a must visit.
