5/5 stars for food, as i work nearby and i’ve been a regular for years at this point. it’s the type of mie ayam that skews savory and al dente instead of kecap-y and softer/comfier (i.e. nyemek), but once you finish the bowl halfway the noodles usually have absorbed the broth well enough if you prefer that sort of eating experience. the price is also CRAZY affordable for a vendor in the jakarta pusat area. usually sells out by 10AM. 5/5 service, the abang is incredibly friendly and warm and makes it a point to remember his regulars. he also has good rapport with his neighboring vendors, which is always pleasant to see. 5/5 atmosphere, i might be biased due to the above factors. in any case, if you don’t mind jakarta’s average street food environs then this is nothing irregular. one plus is that the stall is tucked away in a corner, allowing customers a decent distance away from the road/traffic and from the hustle-bustle of other pedestrians.
