Food was amazing and flavorsome. The chicken was well roasted and juicy... topped with parsley sauce. The quasadilla was very light and tasty. Will be coming again and tastefully recommended to friends. Note: I don't expect amazing service or ambience just because we're coming to an affordable eating place... but overall a very nice experience.
Chicken bowl was served with a sourish veggie and it was really unique. Chicken was moist. Ordered beef cause the lamb wasn’t ready. Tender and tasty, equally good! The chili was different and made the dish stand out! Service was good and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Worth the try!
Tasty, interesting addition to this food centre! Definitely coming back. I don’t know Algerian food but I do know tasty food and this is it. I’ve tried both the mutton stew rice bowl and chicken chermoula rice bowl. The chicken chermoula rice bowl comes with marinated chicken thigh on a generous bed of rice, topped with sweet roasted carrot and chermoula sauce. The chicken was really tender and flavourful, but that chermoula is really the star! It was fresh and full of flavour from various herbs, bringing so much brightness to this dish. I enjoyed the chunks of carrots too. Personally, I favour beef and mutton over chicken. That mutton stew was done just right. The chunks of meat were tender and lovingly coated in a savoury sauce made with spices. I appreciate the meat not being cooked till fork-tender and it maintained the integrity and bite of meat. Roasted potatoes and carrots worked well to provide different textures to this dish too. The chili sauce isn’t too spicy and most can probably finish it with no trouble. I ordered the tiramisu too but finished before taking any photos! It was a lovely rendition with no alcohol. I’ll likely order this for gatherings with halal food. Do wish there was more mascarpone cream filling though.
Food is simple yet amazing. Very hearty and soulful. You can tell they put their heart into it everyday. I loved both the beef and chicken bowls, ($8 each). The cilantro sauce on chicken and harissa is packed with flavour. Have yet to try the mutton which is every Wed and Fri but I’m excited! The owners are so friendly and smiley as well, you can’t help but love the energy of their stall.
Came at 5pm on a weekday, and initially wanted to try the beef chakchouka but it was sold out, so swapped to zaatar chicken. Portions were generous for the chicken, and the roasted carrots were a nice touch! The zaatar sauce had a gritty texture, and the flavour laid on top of the chicken than melding with the chicken. I tried the chermoula sauce too and thought the chermoula texture complemented the dish better! Note that the chili is quite spicy but very flavourful Owner was very friendly, will be back to try the other stuff on the menu!
