A hidden Malaysian Chinese restaurant in lane way of Broadway. I have visited this place many times, before and after the change in chefs. This restaurant has a casual vibe, not hawker style but also not like those wannabe up market Malaysian restaurants which charges an arm and a leg. Malacca Straits is popular for students and local staff and one of the long time restaurants in the precinct. The Har Mee has a strong prawn flavour, and recommend the angel prawns and ayam percik. This chicken curry has tender pieces and strong aromas. The chik ku teh (which we usually order as well) is addictive. The let down is the rice - it's a big hard, but is ok if you eat it with the sauces. Overall recommend this restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner. ??

It was very nice chicken laksa. I like their malaysian style laksa. Food coming so fast and price os reasonable.

Went here on a week long Trip to Sydney, and I loved it sooo much! Service was Quick, and very friendly. The chicken Satay was Juicy and had a lot of Flavour, definitely recommend. Cannot Remember the other dishes but they were tasty and we finished all! Would definitely visit here again.
