Always love coming to this restaurant. The chef is very considerate and caters to exact spice levels as asked. We have dined in multiple times and requested for the mildest possible curry and the food was made just right always. Noodles, gongura soy biryani are a must try. This time we tried paneer tikka, shaam savera and dal & kurkuri bhindi combo. It was 10/10. Serving staff is also very well informed.
The food here was awesome. Very few Indian restaurant food taste good and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of the food here. We had 1) Bharwa Golgappa (Starter) and the blend of curd with other spices was perfect, enough tanginess, not too much curd, great stuff. Paneer Tikka (starter) as per my family was good. 2) We had their signature Shaam Savera (Mains) and I must say here too the blend of spices, just enough spinach made the dish a perfect blend and I must say it was good, real good. 3) We had Chilli and Herb naan, Cheese and Garlic naan as roti to go with the mains and here again the garlic chunks in the naan was beautiful ambience and tasted heavily. The Chill and Herb naan was magnificent too, the cheese one is best for cheese lovers or kids. The restaurant also gave us a new coconut rose halwa dish to try and totally impressed. We had come on mother's day so I can understand the service cannot be 100%, they still did a good job in managing the crowd. I will visit again for sure and will update the service rating once I can experience it in less crowded days. All in all a wonderful experience, I hope they keep it up. Well done Laddu Gopal, as good as Lord Krishna is.
Tried Laddu Gopal in Truganina and honestly, it totally changed the way I look at veg food! The Jackfruit Biryani was the highlight—so flavourful and different. I also loved the Malai Soya Tikka and Shaam Savera, both were super comforting and packed with flavour. Pani puri was on point, and the Rasmalai at the end hit the sweet spot perfectly. Also had their blood orange drink which was super refreshing! The place has such a calm, welcoming vibe and it’s great for families too. Really impressed with how creative and tasty everything was—definitely going back! Follow @this.is_melbourne for more food finds!
Far from home, but this felt like a hug wrapped in music, spices, and memory. The kind of place where Kishore da plays in the background, and your cravings find their way back to you. Started with their palak patta chaat—crispy, tangy, addictive. The dahi puri was a burst of cool and spice, followed by warm chai that instantly slowed everything down. Their mocktails were light, refreshing, and surprisingly well-balanced—perfect with the rich mains. We loved the malai chaap and paneer tikka, but the standout was the dal makhani—creamy, comforting, and full of depth. Bonus points for writing dish names in cream on top (yes, the details!). Ended on a sweet note with some coconut halwa—soft, fragrant, and just the right amount of indulgent. This one’s for when you want to feel full—in every way that counts.
A vegetarian paradise in Truganina! Laddu Gopal offers a soulful dining experience with pure vegetarian food made without onion or garlic — and absolutely no compromise on flavour! We loved the Bharva Gol Kappa, Cheese Bombs, and the refreshing Fresh Lime Soda. The Shaam Savers, Garlic & Cheese Naans, and Mughlai Soya Chaap Biryani were rich, flavorful, and satisfying. And the desserts — Rasmalai, Gulab Jamun, and Gajar Halwa — were divine! Beautiful ambience, great service, and they also offer catering and event space for small functions. A must-visit for every vegetarian food lover!
