Great Kopitiam with Various Kind of Cuisine. The price is ok and the food taste delicious. Open from the morning until the afternoon (around 12 pm). I ate Mie Pangsit (23 k) & drank Cold Teh Tarik (12 k)..
Lots of variety. But do go early as there is locals and tourists heading for breakfast. Try the noodles and the carrot cake. Nice.
Local coffeeshop with slightly above average fare. Perhaps it could be the taste profile is different , as most dishes in Batam seem to be a tad salty and sweet. The char kue was very similar to the better versions in Singapore. The noodles had a good flavour but had a soggy stickiness which was disconcerting
There's a lot of local food variety in this place, you can walk around the area and find good food. We had carrot cake & 'kalipeng' - it's a rice with a choice of meat served with light curry sauce.
The fried kway teow and nasi lemak were both very good. The kway teow is springy, not too oily, and had great wok hey. Nasi lemak otak otak has a nice minty flavour, which went well with sambal and coconut rice.
