1-chōme-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 100-0005, Japan
Amazing food, the meat is Halal, and thus Muslims can eat with no restrictions. The atmosphere is vibrant and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. It took me a long 1 hour wait to be able to enter though. Note that you will need to choose your meal and pay before entering.
We stumbled upon Kiwamiya while exploring Tokyo Station and oh boy, glad that we did. Our first time, the Imari steak was sold out as the combo of Hamburg and steak was a favourite amongst diners. On our second visit at Shibuya Parco for dinner, the Imari steak was again sold out. Determine to try the steak prior to leaving Japan, we went back to Tokyo station on our last day and joined the queue around 10.45am prior to their opening at 11am. There was already a handful of people lining up. Finally, third time lucky, we ordered a set menu of Hamburg plus the Imari steak along with the sides of rice, soup, salad and soft serve ice cream which are all free refills. Great tasting food which did not disappoint. Really delicious juicy Hamburg and the steak was buttery soft, melt in your mouth. There are sauces to accompany the meat (soy, sweet sauce and our favourite - onion sauce). On top of the great meal, the service was amazing. The young lady who served us was super friendly, always with a smile. Kiwamiya’s a shining star!! Food and service quality is A1!! Definitely, a nice place to go the next time you visit the Tokyo station or Shibuya.
It’s wonderful that we get to experience locally loved taste like this in Halal!! The staff were very careful w gloves and contamination asw!! The meat itself was so tasty and fatty! I loved it w the rice as well!! It was nice we get refills of the sides and rice! I dined w my Japanese friend and she mentioned this is one of the best Japanese hamburg she have had as well!!! (She tried non halal version) the place seemed to have lot of new rules for foreigners and seems like some foreigners had bad service experiences as well (I didn’t ! The staff were very nice) . Please be respectful and kind as you dine there so it helps creating a better experience for people that is going to dine here in the future ! ?
