For authentic taste in the ancient, rustic, and vintage era while also indulging in delicious and outstanding cuisine, Khyber is a must visit which is located in the heart of Mumbai at Fort. They serve a wide range of authentically flavoured North Indian and Mughlai meals that are absolutely wonderful. While serving us the food, the staff was courteous, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure they gave us their all if anything was needed on the table. The response time was quick and amazing. We Ordered: Watermelon Cooler: Fizzy Watermelon Cooler Virgin Colada: Pineapple and Coconut milk blended for a creamy texture Paneer Bhutte Ke Seekh: Paneer and Bhuta (Corn) minced and tandoored for that crispy texture. Makai ki Tikki: Corn and potato blended to form a crispy texture. Bhendi Masala: Bhendi tossed in onion and herbs Garlic Naan & Butter Roti: Whole Wheat and Refined flour bread tandoored for a crispy yet soft texture Jeera Rice & Dal Fry: Basmati Rice tossed in Jeera (Cumin seeds) served with spicy tadka dal Malai Kulfi with falooda: Creamy Kulfi served with sweet vermicelli or falooda Overall amazing experience Food:5/5 Ambience:5/5 Staff:5/5
Good ambiance and nice decoration inside. It will give you a feeling of sitting inside a mud building. Food is good and quantity is enough to share with two/three people. We ordered lamb chop and it was so tender and juicy. Meat from the bones are falling apart. Kadahi chicken and nun was good too. I liked the mango carrot pickle, it was so fresh and crunchy. Food price is little higher side but when going with group, it is totally justified. I will recommend to visit this place with friends and family even with kids.
Very old restaurant has still maintained its taste, flavour, service and standard. Visiting the place almost after 20years and glad I came. Rakesh and team were excellent in service. Cuisine is good.. We began with Crispy masala rumali roti, Chicken Kali mirch, Paneer tikka. Moved on to Chicken Kashmiri, Butter Chicken with Butter Garlic Naan, Butter Kulcha and Rumaali Roti. Veg Biryani. Fresh Lime Soda. Each dish a delicacy, enjoyed to the last bite.Keep it up.
Khyber's unique cave-like decor immediately makes a strong impression. While the masala papad starter was just average, the tandoori lamb chops were excellent – the mutton was perfectly tender and flavorful. Unfortunately, the waiter-recommended fish curry fell a bit flat and was merely okay. The gulab jamun dessert was decent but not exceptional. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere at Khyber but found the food a bit inconsistent. I'd be interested in returning to try some of their chicken main courses.
