8 Raffles Ave., #01-15 Esplanade Mall, Singapore 039802
Prices are high for a food centre without Aircon but it's the cheapest option at the Esplanade. Newly renovated but looks pretty much the same as before. Toilets are clean and overall not too crowded. Though the food is average, the vibes are nice since it's outdoors.
Favorites: Prawn Flavored Chicken (not in picture), Popiah, Cereal Prawn Just like any hawker near the center, the options were on the pricey side. But they came in big portions, all were good for sharing, even the ones that are “small” size. The prawn-flavored chicken was the star of the show for me. It was my first time eating something like that. Really crispy and you can really taste the prawn flavoring. Cereal prawns were good too, nothing unusual with its taste. But these ones were surprisingly big. The Popiah was a good healthy addition to the meal. It’s quite similar to “Lumpiang Sariwa” in the Philippines.
Food are quite good, mostly a bit pricey, but worth visiting since the surrounding areas are nice for chilling. The oyster omelette is nice.
One of the, if not THE best Hawker Stall in Singapore. Lau Pa Sat is overpriced, has no view and is packed with lost tourist pushing around their suitcases. I highly recommend Makansutra Gluttons Bay to everyone for anyone entertaining out of town guests, as your able to choose from multiple cuisines in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the bay. You can't beat it. We've had some of the best meals here.
