I went there for a friend's birthday. She is vegan so naturally, they had lots of options for her! The staff were so accommodating, friendly, and very helpful when it came to making recommendations based on our taste! The space has a very cute and intimate setting, not too low lit, but just the right amount of it! The food was amazing, so tasty, not too over seasoned, drinks were refreshing and delicious! The staff also came out and gave the birthday a birthday card where they all signed it and left beautiful messages! Very thoughtful and they really went the extra mile without asking. We also received a few shots of tequila (mixed drinks), but still we were not expecting all of that. She also received a little bag of mini cookies! We had an amazing time and will definitely come back again! 10's all across the board!!!
Went here for dinner. They have loads of vegetarian/vegan options. We got nachos, their biria tacos, the food was delicious & surprisingly filling! We will go here again! It's pretty sweet decor with booths on one side & bar on the other & some extra tables in the back. Reservation recommended.
This was my first time at Jajaja Mexicana and it was great. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and super attentive. I’m not vegan but the food was delicious! I definitely recommend the nachos and barbacoa bowl. The drinks were strong and tasty. The restaurant was very cozy and cute. Definitely recommend for vegans and non-vegans.
One of the best vegan/plant based restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is just DELICIOUS! Flavorful, rich, vibrant, fresh.. and TASTY. The only thing better than the food is the interior decoration! Super cool vibes that makes this location feel like a portal into the heart of Mexico City, 30 years ago Mario and Rafael were stand out representatives of this establishment If you like coconut and mezcal, the coconut cilantro cocktail is a must. So refreshing that before you can put it down, you’re finding yourself gulping down another sip. And another.. and another.. dangerous! Highlights of the food included the fish tacos (better than you think!) and birria tacos (wow!). The super nachos were ok Excited to be back.. many times!
Jajaja Mexican is a great spot for vegetarian Mexican food in New York. Located inside a supermarket, it has a casual and convenient setting, making it an easy stop for a quick and tasty meal. The menu is fully vegetarian, with creative and flavorful dishes that even non-vegetarians can enjoy. The food quality is solid, with fresh ingredients and well-seasoned flavors. The tacos, burritos, and nachos all stand out, offering a satisfying and healthy twist on classic Mexican cuisine. Prices are reasonable for New York, making it an affordable option compared to other trendy spots. However, the location inside a supermarket takes away from the ambiance, making it feel less like a restaurant experience. If you’re looking for delicious, plant-based Mexican food without a fancy setting, Jajaja is a great choice!
