A cozy café in Yarraville Village with a few vegan options. We loved that you could get any Smoothie as a Smoothie Bowl! Also the service was very welcoming ☺️ We had the Raspberry Chia Pudding and the Be Smooth Smoothie as a Smoothie Bowl :)
A cute brunch cafe in the heart of Yarraville. Lots of vegan options, but they do also have non-vegan stuff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the tofu scramble with the smashed avo & will definitely be coming back.
Happy to have the vegan options, but it was a little bland. We ordered the vegan breakfast burger with added chili jam, and it didn't have a very distinct flavour. Couldn't really tell there was chili jam on it. It was satisfying, but next time I would like more chipotle or chili jam to elevate it. The people were all lovely!
Nice cafe with plenty of coeliac friendly gluten free options. Offers a variety of healthy food. I enjoyed my dish, however the food that was meant to be hot was only lukewarm, and not very filling. The smoothie, however was overly generous and absolutely delicious! I had the Easter Special Hot Cross Bun smoothie, and wow it was such a treat - exceptionally delicious! Cinnamon lovers will adore it! The staff were all very friendly too. Reasonable prices, worth a try, if you’re in the area.
[Update] May 2025: We gave it another try after a few years and it has certainly improved. So much so that we invited people from outside the suburb to dine in and they absolutely loved it. One improvement over the OG is the coffee quality, which is now very well made in terms of shot quality and alternative milk texturing. This is now probably one of the best coffee cups in the area. The other improvement is the menu, which offers a wide variety of proper vegan options -Not just remove this or that - and even has half serves on some plates, which I definitely appreciate. Overall, the whole experience has greatly improved, making it again a truly different place from every other cafe around and I recommend everyone in the area give it a go. October 2022 - Update: With the change in admin came a change in cuisine as well. The place is no longer strictly vegan and now offers some vegetarian and meat-based options. So, an ordinary menu. Nevertheless, it’s not the menu shift what changes my opinion of the place, but the fact that the food is no longer worth its price, as the flavour noticeably changed in all my former favourite dishes. The Umami Bowl is no longer umami in flavour, is too rich and salty; the Let’s get Smashed became an ordinary smashed avo with lime and salt, and increased in price; the pastries are probably the one thing that is just as good as before, having tried only a couple. On top of this, items such as the vegan egg and tofu scramble, which used to be part of some/most dishes, have been erased from the menu or became add-ons, which of course increases the price of meals even further. In summary, I wouldn’t say the place is as exciting as before. It is now an ordinary, expensive café. June 2022 - Unmatched: Not only compared to other vegan restaurants is this place unique, but also when you compare it against any other restaurant. The food is first class, beautifully presented and absolutely fulfilling. You can choose from a wide range of full meals, sweet or savoury pastries, or smoothies if you’re not that hungry, and I assure you you’ll be satisfied with your choice. And of course, the coffee is really good, as you’d expect. Lastly, maybe the most outstanding part of the experience is Zerin, the owner of the place, who will make you feel like a part of the family and will even let you, nay, encourage you to pet Arlo, her little Pomeranian fur ball who will keep you company for the entirety of your meal if you let him. All in all, this place is a whole new dining experience in and it is worth every cent, even for those non-vegan customers who just like good food. So look no further. Whenever you’re in Yarraville, this is the place you want to go to.
