First of all, it's a bit confusing to find the place. It's at the basement of a mall but not the building where the fancy boutiques are but instead the building next to it. We went over the CNY holidays and amazing that it was opened but compulsory because of the location. The noodles get sold out really fast, even before 6-7pm. So we had to go here twice just to sample the noodles. On our first visit, we tried the roti (they call it pancakes) with beef and the roti was a delight. It's thin, 1/2 the thickness of a roti canai and the pairing with the beef was a good combo. We couldn't get enough and ordered more. We ordered sets and the side dishes were delicious. The noodles however, did not exceed our expectations, I find the soup a bit bland but my taste bud is very used to food that are rich in spices & flavours. However, there is something for everyone to try so don't let my judgement cloud you. If you are particular about halal food, it would be a safe bet to dine here as there are not many halal places in the vicinity.
Halal Chinese Beef Noodles Restaurant is located inside food court Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi Place A8. The food is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The beef noodles are the star of the menu, with tender beef, flavorful broth, and perfectly cooked noodles. The rich, aromatic flavors are a testament to the care and tradition put into each bowl. The restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes, all of which maintain a high standard of taste and quality. The service is friendly, efficient and fast. They got The Bib Gourmand award for many years, an award given by the MICHELIN Guide to restaurants that offer high-quality food at a reasonable price. This is the outlet from the main Halal Chinese Beef Noodles (Da'an) in Da'an District.
Went in a Sunday and it gets very crowded. We could not get a seat inside, so we took the food to the open seating area. There’s plenty of options in the menu, but we only ordered the beef noodles. Bring a bottle of water as drinks are either coke or sour longan. Around the place you can only find boba. The kitchen closes temporarily from 3-4.30pm. So, plan ahead.
HALAL Ngau Chap (Beef Noodle Soup) Its located inside Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi Place A8 Mall Level B2 -look for McDonalds and its at the corner. For dinner session it opens at 430pm. Lunch ends at 2.30PM
Located in basement food court of the department store. Food was hot and noodles plentiful. Had the beef and tendon noodle soup. The beef could’ve been more tender. Service was good - free refills on the tea. I tried the plum juice and bamboo shoot appetizer (which you get yourself). Pretty delicious. They do add 10% when you sit inside (instead of the outside open area).
