Drove all the way to Rawai as we’re craving for South Indian fare and made it here at the Goan Bistro. Food was good, seating and interiors were comfortable and there was plenty of space for parking but our eyes hurt so bad inside as they were peeling onions inside the restaurant which was very strange. We had to request to be moved outside as the pain was unbearable.

If you’re craving Indian food, this is the place. Good portions, quick service, and a massive menu. Plus plenty of seating so there’s plenty of room even if you have a big group. Like all Indian restaurants, this one is very vegetarian friendly. Literally had almost 3-4 pages of just vegetarian dishes on top of all the normal meat dishes.

Very tasty, authentic Indian food. On request, we were also told which dishes we could order vegan. When we wanted to order something from the tandoori, it was even pointed out to us that these dishes are not vegan and we were recommended a vegetable sizzling platter as an alternative. This was delicious and the curry was also very good. The paratha was unfortunately a little dry, but this is not always avoidable with vegan preparation. However, there is also a large selection of dishes with meat and a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. The only downside is that it is not immediately clear from the menu what might be vegan, but as you are well advised here, this is not a problem. Compared to other Indian restaurants, Goan is also cheaper and still very tasty. I would recommend it to others!.
