Stepping into Dundale Fusion Fijian Cafe Eatery in Auckland instantly transported me back to Fiji. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home, and the familiar aromas stirred up nostalgia. From the first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The dhal, in particular, was incredibly flavorful, reminding me of my mom’s cooking – it hit me right in the heart. It was comforting and delicious, perfectly seasoned, and made me miss home even more. If you’re looking for an authentic Fijian dining experience, this is the place to be. It’s not just about the food but the whole vibe – the friendly service and the homely touches make it a true gem. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving a slice of Fiji in Auckland.

Overall? Absolutely freaking worth it. Highly recommend for lunch & dinner, not sure about breaky. It’s CRAZY how delicious the food (12/10 for most foods) here is. Literally tried it the first time expecting it to be bland and disappointing as I usually find Fijian places in NZ (it’s that hard to find a place this great in NZ) and was so taken aback that we came back again the next day?. Seriously amazing food. Flavours and the dynamic depth of flavours pop off and make you want to sing and cry bc you missed having this much flavour in your food (yep). Best ceviche in all of Auckland imo, I could be biased but it really is that great. The chefs are incredibly talented and clearly love the art of food Bc I can’t say one bad thing about it. GREAAAT Fiji style BBQ that’s accurate af and possibly even better. Service could be better (7.5/10) waitresses are friendly and sweet, but not sure if they’re nervous or new on the job-been there and I get it. Coffees are expensive considering this is in Blockhouse Bay and not the CBD or higher range areas like Ponsonby/New Market. Could be bc they have to turn the coffee machine on if you order a coffee? Not sure but it is pricey comparatively.

Came here for lunch and I can honestly say it tastes just like home! Amazing food and easy to find location, also has a good amount of parking. Atmosphere was ok, the vibe was a bit boring. Will definitely come back again! We ended up spending around $73 for a starter and 2 mains (for 2 people)

Breakfast meals were good. It’s a busy eatery so no real interaction with service just go in and be seated. You do need to go to the counter and order they are too busy to take table orders so don’t sit at your table waiting which I noticed a family do. Enjoyed the omelette and mango lassi. The menu has a lot of variety showcasing their Fijian meals. Servings and price was reasonable. Will go back to try their mains. Definitely try them out.

Absolute treasure in the suburbs! As always Fijian hospitality reigns supreme. Highly recommend
