501 Hougang Ave 8, #01-630, Singapore 530501
very tasty and homely vegetarian chinese food! have dined here many times in the past and every dish we have tried so far has been great. today we had the cereal tofu, mee goreng and mixed mushrooms with broccoli. staff are always friendly and polite. will be back again :)
Very tasty, portions are HUGE! I really enjoyed the roti John, and also the broccoli with mushrooms! The shark fin soup can feed a family of 5 easily hahahah!
Weekend lesser people. Manage to secure a table for a delicious vegetarian meal.
Visited Divine Realm Vegetarian (Hougang Ave 8) for a takeaway feast today, and I’ve got to say—it lives up to its strong reputation! Founded in 1998, this family-run vegetarian restaurant has become a staple in the Hougang area . With over 25 years of service, it draws loyal locals and fans from all over Singapore thanks to its diverse and well-executed menu . What they offer: A massive vegetarian menu spanning 100+ dishes, from local zi char (e.g., hor fun, crispy noodles, cereal prawn) to Indian-style roti, mala, ramen, gyoza, and even fusion options . Standout items that attract repeat visits include the vegetarian mala xiang guo, olive (fried) rice, homemade gyoza, hor fun, crispy noodle, and cereal prawn—all of which made it onto my personal favorites list. The restaurant also serves Indian rojak, prata, and hearty zi char plates—catering to a wide range of tastes . Customer favorites & praises The hor fun is frequently highlighted for its bold wok hei flavor and generous portions—under $5 for a substantial serving . The "Wok Hey" magic is often mentioned, with many patrons calling back for both dry and wet noodle options . Reviews are sprinkled with positive comments on gyoza, mushroom pancakes, roti john, and noodle soups—all praised for taste and value . My experience (takeaway): I picked up vegetarian mala, olive rice, homemade gyoza, hor fun, crispy noodles, and cereal prawn—each was packed with flavor and excellent quality. These dishes are firmly on my favourites list! The takeaway run was smooth, but note that peak-hour wait times can exceed 1 hour—be ready or consider coming early. Practical notes: The shop space is on the smaller side—dine-in seating fills up fast, especially during lunchtime, so it’s wise to arrive early or simply opt for takeaway . Prices are competitive given the hearty portions and consistent quality. Overall verdict: Divine Realm Vegetarian in Hougang is a hidden gem in the heartlands—a well-established, family-run stalwart with a huge, well-loved vegetarian menu. Whether you're a local or traveling from elsewhere, it's worth the trip for comforting mala, wok hei noodles, olive rice, gyoza, and more. Just avoid peak times or be prepared for a wait—but the food (especially the mala and olive rice) is absolutely worth it.
