Authentic and Delicious Nasi Lemak Combo at Sedap Place – Albany, Perth I had the pleasure of enjoying the Nasi Lemak combo at Sedap Place in Albany, Perth, and it was truly a delightful experience. The dish came with a generous serving of fragrant coconut rice paired with an impressive variety of traditional sides – Ayam Masak Merah, Beef Rendang, Sotong Sambal, and Chicken Curry. Every component was cooked to perfection. The coconut rice was rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of lemak. The Ayam Masak Merah was tender with a beautifully spiced tomato-based sauce, while the Beef Rendang was deeply flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth soft. The Sotong Sambal had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, and the Chicken Curry added a comforting, hearty touch. The balance of flavors across the board was impressive – nothing too overpowering, just well-executed and full of authentic taste. If you’re craving traditional Malaysian fare done right, Sedap Place is definitely worth a visit.

Good Parts: The food was very good. If your spice tolerance is very very high then go for spicy ones, otherwise ask the waiters for recommendations. The waiters were really helpful. The hot Tarik tea was extremely good. Bad Parts: They didn’t give us any glasses to drink water, instead gave paper cups. When we asked they said they are out of cups. And we were the 2nd customers in the whole restaurant. The 1st customers had cups and thats how I noticed. Then lots of people arrived with reservations and they got cups! We should be treated equally reserved or not! Also there were no vegetables except sliced cucumbers. Apparently they were out of it too. So picture fully doesn’t match with reality. The ice cream with beans is a bad idea I believe. Doesn’t match the texture and flavour.

We ordered the Nasi Lemak share platter and egg rotti, and felt so satisfied with our dinner potion size. The presentation was nice, the service was quick, and the flavours were good. I'd definitely get the beef randang by itself the next time, with the egg rotti.
