Great service, I had the bowl rice with rendang, curry vege and beep spicy sauce (sate padang). Rendang is a bit dry for my taste. The fish and omelette are nice

I have travelled all over Melbourne searching for the best Minang and Padang Indonesian food and have found some brilliant places to eat including Salero Kito and Tambo Ciek but head and shoulders above the rest is Dale La Pau. This was the most delicious rendang, jackfruit curry and sambal nasi I have eaten. The spices were fragrant, layered and had the right amount of aroma and kick and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. The staff were lovely and wait time was very fast. 10/10 food, very much looking forward to returning.

I have revisited after quite some time and they now have lunch specials starting from $19, which is much more reasonable. Although meat portions aren’t as much, it is still better. Nice one! ?? Friendly service, lots of delicious menu options, tasty food, but overpriced for what you get to be honest. Averaging $30 a dish, it’s way too expensive for the portion size.

Our second visit to this restaurant but found the place to be less popular. It's lunch time but there's only one table of customers. We came here to try their lunch meals but 2 out of 4 options were either not available or they ran out of eggs which was surprised to hear from a restaurant. The food was okay but not great. What i like most is the sambal, which is hot and spicy enough to go with the rice.

Shamed the food in here! For sure will be back and recommend. You can feel the authenticity from the dishes, big serving in entree’s to mains. Cozy place and staffs are superb!
