No. 18, Street 306 corner 51, Phnom Penh 12000, Cambodia
The best part of this restaurant is the atmosphere. It is clean and large, the food is prepared within eyesight. However, portions are far too small and value for money is just not there. Still, a nice place to entertain guests because it is one of the better and cleaner Indian restaurants in Phnom Penh. The owner is very passionate and friendly of Singaporean origin.
Great food and wonderful service. The background music being played at the Restaurant was soothing and we loved the incredible time we spent at this facility on the occasion of my wife’s birthday! The restaurant is a bit expensive and the portion served seemed a bit less (of course as compared to the portion/quantity served at the South Indian restaurants in India). Dakshin is located at a nice location in BKK1 area and has a feeling of warmth. We met the owner too who hails from Singapore and uses spices produced in Singapore.
Quite simply THE BEST INDIAN FOOD in town. The quality of the ingredients is evident, the taste of all the dishes is exquisite. Extensive menu. Friendly and attentive staff. The place is immaculately clean, (you could eat off the floor!) Elegant design, very relaxed atmosphere. Can cater to singles, couples or large groups. Friendly owner, who came and had a chat. (They have the same restaurant in Siem Reap... And likewise, it's the BEST Indian food there too ?) The dishes in the photos here are; the amazing Sheekh kebab, came out sizzling on a hot-plate. And Chicken Saagwala curry, Chicken Vindaloo with rice and Garlic Naan, and a Keema Naan. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent! Especially the Lamb Murtebak is the must ? very spacious restaurant with good service as well ?
They accommodated my special request for a salt-free meal, and despite the absence of salt, the food tasted great with a dash of lemon. The service was excellent—attentive and efficient. The staff not only responded quickly but also remembered my food preferences from the previous day. I plan to return for lunch every day for the rest of my stay in Phnom Penh.
