Super yummy and cheap. 25,000 dong for a big sandwich. It’s a little bit difficult to find. We found it at the very end of the alley. Location in map is slightly inaccurate.
delicious and affordable street food. the owner says she has been selling there for 20years. bought glutinous rice with fried chicken, cua soup and of course two banh mi; total only 110000VND.
We finally got to experience our first halal banh mi plus a rice dish that came with chicken and beef. What a great place to eat. This place was very easy to find since its next to the mosque ?
Came here on Eid morning and they happened to be open. We had broken rice with fried chicken and i didn’t have high expectations, but I’m glad to report that it’s one of the better chicken rice I’ve had in my life! It’s a heaping plate of white rice, served with fresh sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, pickled carrots and sengkuang (a root vegetable), one piece of fried chicken (we all got drumstick) and a small bowl chili. At first I was expecting it to taste like Malaysian chicken rice, but since it was plain rice, I put the cili in (I can’t do spicy food) and wow it was so good, the cili wasn’t too spicy and adds so much flavour to the rice and chicken. The chicken was fried until it was crispy, maybe too crispy on the outside but still a bit juicy on the inside. My husband and I found the chicken to be slightly ‘hanyir’, but only very slightly. It was still very tasty. We were eating by the roadside when the sun rose higher and started shining directly on our table. A lady hurriedly came and told us we could move to a shadier spot and even helped us move the whole table with our food and drinks on it! After eating, the owner came with plain unsweetened iced drinks for us (I think it was lemongrass? Pandan?) The price? EXTREMELY CHEAP.
