This is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine in a beautiful and relaxing setting. Definitely worth a visit!
Probably the best Thai experience we have had in Australia. The inside of the restaurant is very fun, with lots of Thai furnishings to look at. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, though the food came out with little fanfare we didn’t mind the efficiency of how quickly the food came and was cleared away. The menu is extensive and the food was very good. We have kids that don’t have much experience with Thai food and they probably ate more than we did. Calamari and spring roll entrees. Lemon grass beef, crispy pork, vegetarian fried rice and Mee Grob (Mi Krop?). The Mee Grob was a hit with the kids as it’s slightly sweet, light and crunchy. It wasn’t something we had tried before either and wasn’t to my tastes but a hit with the kids. (Note: you get 4 spring rolls in a serve, but the kids snagged one too quick!)
It was a good experience, the ambiance is incredible, it really transports you to Thailand. The service was good, the food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long after ordering. However, I was struck by the strong unpleasant smell when we arrived, which we occasionally smelled again while seated outdoors. Another thing that caught my attention was that they charged us extra for rice, which usually comes included with the dish at other places. When we left, we asked to take our leftovers since the portions were generous, and we all had some left over, but they charged us for the containers.
The restaurant is richly decorated with the most beautiful wooden chairs and sculptures. ? The elephant chairs are impressive and comfortable. Food is excellent and portions are generous. The CHICKEN TAMARIND is intense, punchy, flavoursome, mouthwatering! ? Staff is very friendly and efficient. The external area is very beautiful. Large parking and great location. Fair price. Highly recommended!
