Unbelievably delicious vegan dishes with great creativity and somewhat reasonably priced. We loved all the small/medium dishes we ordered to share and were quite full without the need to order main meals. The ice cream flavours were quite average, otherwise a very tasty venue!

This amazing vegan restaurant is run by two brothers who are carrying on their late father’s 20+ year legacy! Bon Van Pham was a quiet pioneer in shaping Melbourne’s plant-based food scene since 1996 and now his son’s have delicately crafted a mammoth vegan menu that replicates the flavours and textures off real meat, plus they have an amazing gelato bar too! We tried: ? Poutine ? Big Mak Baos ? Char Kway Teow ? Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken ? BBQ Char Siu Cheung Fun ? Creamy Udon Carbonara ? Unagi Dragon Roll ? Wagyu Nigiri w/ Truffle Butter ? Mango Sago Pudding ? Mango Matcha Latte ? Pistachio Matcha Latte Before I even start reviewing the food, I have to talk about how BIG their menu is! There are options ranging from Chinese and Thai dishes, to Vietnamese pho and bbh, to Japanese sushi and onigiri, to pastas and steak frites, to burgers and dessert, plus their incredible gelato bar. There’s literally a dish for everyone! Their matcha lattes were perfection - really deep and fragrant matcha flavour infused with mango/pistachio and fluffy foam, one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had, period. Their poutine had really crunchy chips, but the gravy and cheese topping felt a little lacking. Loved the DIY big mak baos, which gave strong Maccas cheeseburger vibes and I genuinely couldn’t tell the patty wasn’t real meat. The popcorn chicken was well seasoned, while the char kuay teow had a nice bounciness to it and delicious flavours. Loved the chewy cheung fun and the bbq sauce with “pork” bits were so yum! We also loved the udon carbonara, which was really creamy. They made a good attempt at creating a wagyu nigiri and unagi dragon roll - the textures were more rubbery than beef and eel and didn’t quite have the tenderness of real meat, but the flavours were done really well. All of their desserts absolutely slapped! The mango sago pudding was super creamy and had a nice and fresh sweetness, plus we also tried some flavours from their vegan gelato bar and it was so good!

Brother Bon is always a pleasure to visit. All the food was delicious, though I do think some aspects of the portions could be larger, such as the sauce for the lemon chicken and the satay skewers (a bit more would be nice because they’re so yummy). The satay skewers were delicious and I liked that there was some additional veggies on the skewers. Maybe 4 skewers would be better than 3, especially when sharing. The lemon chicken was amazing, I loved how the chicken was made from tofu instead of a wheat gluten or something similar (though that would be nice too) this just felt lighter to eat which I enjoyed. The crème brûlée was such a fun thing to try, being vegan I’ve never actually had it before. The custard was creamy and decadent, the sugar was wafer thin and perfectly crisp. I do think perhaps it could be served without the cream and more fruits, as it’s all very sweet together but that is my personal preference. There are no faults on the iced matcha pistachio latte- I crave that drink literally every day. Service was wonderful, all the waitresses and waiters are so lovely. All in all it was a great dinner 10/10, we will be back to try more!

Celebrated our 7 Year anniversary here tonight. The food was absolutely amazing, the best plant based food I’ve ever eaten. The service was perfect, everyone was so lovely they even gave us a scoop of ice cream to celebrate. Highly recommend and will come back again to try more dishes.

Love this place. The worst part of it is making a choice as the menu has so many super delicious options. I love taking my family here because there's so many options for the non vegans to love and enjoy.
