I visited BEDU for my birthday. The ambience was okay, nothing extraordinary, but the food had a few highlights. It’s worth a one-time visit if you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean dishes. A nice touch was the $100 discount they gave us on one of the desserts as part of the birthday celebration! - Freshly Baked Pita Bread: Soft, warm, and paired well with truffle hummus and garlic aioli labneh with za’atar. - Crispy Falafels: Super crispy and flavorful, paired beautifully with pickled mangoes and tahini - the standout dish. - Crunchy Kataifi: A unique dessert with pistachio ice cream and rich chocolate pistachio sauce. Average Dishes - Honey Baked Feta: Goat milk feta that didn’t stand out for us. It was okish. - Grilled Mushroom Kebabs: Very meaty and Juicy mushrooms but overall average. - Baghlava Mille Feuille: Decent, but not particularly special. Drinks - ARAGH SAGHI: A refreshing, light cocktail with cucumber and lemon—great for summer. Overall: BEDU serves some authentic Mediterranean dishes, with a few hits and misses. The birthday discount was a thoughtful gesture, making the experience more enjoyable. It’s worth visiting once to try the highlights, but not a must-return spot. Rating: 3.5/5
Bedu is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Hong Kong, the consistency of the quality, taste and service is amazing! The food is delicious, perfectly seasoned. They have a way to cook veggies to perfection, from texture to flavors it’s always delicious. A special mention for their eggplant, pumpkin and beef kofta, but it would be so hard for me to choose my favorite dish as they are all delicious!
I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is outstanding—friendly, attentive staff who really make you feel welcome. Every dish I’ve tried has been fantastic, but the grilled octopus is always my go-to order. I’m alcohol intolerant, but thankfully, their mocktails are incredible, packed with perfectly balanced, complex spices. Highly recommended!
We had a enjoyable dinner at Bedu. Loved their smoky hummus. But we found the garlic zaatar labneh lacked the garlic oomph that you'd expect and made it tasted like mayonnaise. We did enjoy the falafel which a nice balance of flavours and textures. The beef kofta was a tad too salty and overpowered the other spices. Nonetheless, all the dishes were well-presented and looked like an artpiece. The staffs were very professional and helpful. I had high expectations for this place given its high ratings but I do think there are room for improvement in terms of the seasoning as we felt like the combination of flavours were somewhat repetitive. Overall, I would like come back again to try their other menu items like the lamb rack.
One of my new favourite restaurant in Hong Kong! This place serve food with high quality, and nutritious. You won’t be loaded with lots of carbs, unless u choose to have lots of pita bread, which could be irresistible while you dip into their delicious hummus and yoghurt. Hummus is a must order. I missed the photo on the hummus as I was wayyy too hungry when it came lol I also like their eggplant. I believe it’s grilled? Anyways, the texture and flavour is nice! The service was excellent too. Their staff is nice and friendly, wearing a smile on their face :) I have spent several lovely evening there and be sure with more to come!
