Slightly away from the busy night market, we initially stopped in to get away from the noise and were treated to a delicious meal and joyful service. The owner (Ram) welcomed us and provided great recommendations for what we needed. Also the food felt fairly priced and was the first time we didn’t pay too much for less than stellar service. The cheesy nan was phenomenal…as was the paneer masala. Highly recommend this location for the atmosphere and food!
The best Garlic Naan my friend and I have tasted in all of Melaka. As good as the ones we had in India. The pakodes was light and crispy. Not oily at all. I would give the pakode a 10/10. Also kan, if you like to layan Bollywood songs while eating, this is the place for you. Come and try it for yourself.
Totally recommended restaurant to come with family and friends. Love the ambient of the restaurant with delicious authentic food. The naan here is recommended. Overall enjoyed our dinner here.
Food Review: Baba & Kaur Northern Cuisine, Melaka Dropped by Baba & Kaur in Melaka for a taste of Northern Indian cuisine. The naan was the star of the meal soft, fluffy, and clearly freshly made. I tried the Chicken Masala and ladies' finger dish. Both were cooked well, but the tomato base was a bit too overpowering for my personal taste. The plain briyani was underwhelming it felt like it had been microwaved rather than freshly prepared, and it was quite dry. Definitely expected more in terms of texture and flavor. On a brighter note, the mango lassi was fantastic creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Do note: parking around the area can be tricky, especially on weekends. But good news, the owner mentioned there’s a private parking area behind the restaurant, so be sure to ask and check it out! Overall, a cosy spot with a few hits and misses. I’d come back for the naan and lassi, and maybe try other dishes next time.
Best meal so far in melaka. Really authentic & every dish is made fresh upon order. Must try 1. Garlic butter naan, mutton, bread pakora, samosa. Their masala tea transports you to a different dimension - beware, it’s that good! Highly recommended
