We ordered the shah platter but switched the chicken for the fish. Great food although lamb cutlets were a bit overcooked and dry but flavours were amazing. Staff several times offered to replace the lamb for us but we declined (don’t like wastage) but were very impressed by their care and service to keep checking with us. The fluffy rice, prawns and fish were very well cooked and spiced. Friendly service. All up a good experience.

First time trying Persian food, and we couldn’t have picked a better place! Generous portions, delicious dishes, and all at very reasonable prices. The restaurant was clean and tidy, with a welcoming atmosphere. Great location in Surfers Paradise—highly recommend if you're looking to try something new and tasty!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Baba Joon Persian Grill Restaurant during my four-night stay in the Gold Coast, and I must say it was an incredible experience. As a foodie who has tried several Persian restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that Baba Joon offers the most authentic and delicious Persian cuisine I’ve had in the Gold Coast. Everything is fresh—from the meat and rice to the salads and vegetables—and every dish bursts with rich, traditional flavours. Their menu is reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for the quality of food you receive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also exceptional, with beautiful Persian music playing in the background, creating a relaxing and culturally rich environment. You’ll notice that the staff work seamlessly together, showing great teamwork and professionalism, and ensuring that your food arrives promptly without any long waits. Absolutely loved the meal at Baba Joon! Food was incredible — so fresh, authentic, full of flavour, and the portions were huge! Honestly such great value for money. The service was also top-notch… warm, friendly and attentive. You can feel they put a lot of love in both the food and the customer service. Will be back!

Food was delicious, service impeccable and atmosphere pristine clean. A must eat for those who love Middle Eastern Cuisine. They also offered us a delicious Australian soda. One of a kind for sure.
