Always has been my favourite go-to place for lunch when I'm craving for a delicious home-cooked vegetarian indian cusine. With their welcoming and cheerful spirit portrayed, I'm sure to come again. Environment is nothing too fancy, but still a decent place to sit and chat.
Simple yet flavourful & nutritious vegetarian Indian food. I love how they cook veggies in different ways , every dish has different flavour. Not to forget to mention the dessert, payasam too. Sometimes it's a little bit too sweet but comforting. The dining area is not air-conditioned but very spacious & cosy. Pay as you wish for charity

Annalakshmi Johor Bahru offers a captivating dining atmosphere with its warm, well-lit, and peaceful setting. The diverse menu presents an array of savory and sweet options, all delicious and satisfying, with a focus on delightful Southern Indian cuisines. Notably, the restaurant provides pure vegetarian choices and follows a unique "Pay as you like" concept, adding a touch of warmth and inclusivity to the dining experience. The menu includes approximately 8-10 dishes, encompassing essentials like rasam and mooru molagha. The service at Annalakshmi Johor Bahru stands out for its kindness and compassion, as volunteers attend to diners with genuine care. In terms of beverages, the options mainly consist of plain water and juice. With its welcoming ambiance, delectable food, and distinctive approach, a return to Annalakshmi Johor Bahru is undoubtedly on the horizon.
I came with my family on a weekday afternoon. The service was great and we were all served with generous portions of rice and side dishes for the thali meal. The dishes served were fresh and tasted amazing. One of the best Indian vegetarian meals I have had. The pumpkin payasam for dessert was a superb finishing touch to the meal . I would definitely recommend this hidden gem as it is one of the very few (if not only) pure Indian vegetarian restaurant in Johor Bahru.
