This pure vegetarian restaurant offers delicious and flavorful dishes. We tried: ? Veg Momos: Soft, tender, and generously filled. A great starter. ?29 Sweets Special Noodles: Perfectly cooked noodles with a flavorful sauce. Highly recommended. ?Veg Burger: A satisfying burger with a delicious patty, fresh veggies, cheese and a side of fries. ?Rabdi Ghever: The highlight! Crispy ghever, soaked in syrup, topped with creamy rabdi and dry fruits. It reminded me of authentic Rabdi Ghever from Abu Road, India ? Everything was delicious, but the Rabdi Ghever was exceptional. The fact that it's a pure vegetarian restaurant is a big plus. I highly recommend 29 Sweets for anyone seeking tasty vegetarian food in Christchurch.
One of the best restaurants in Christchurch for Indian food. We had visited recently for lunch and had the famous street foods of India here. All the dishes we had were very fresh especially the Medu Vada. It was very delicious. You get a variety of Indian sweets if you have a sweet tooth.
29 Sweets is a fantastic spot for vegetarians and vegans in Christchurch. Their menu has a wide range of dishes, so there’s always something new to try. I especially loved the Dahi Golgappa—a yogurt-based snack—and the crispy, delicious Chole Bhature. Their Masala Chai deserves a shoutout too; it’s perfectly spiced, not too strong. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which is super convenient. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.
Staff were polite & courteous. Food was served fresh & hot. Recommend chole bathure, paneer dosa, masala chai, boondi ladoo, kalakand. Gujiya was a tad bit sweet & papdi in the papdi chaat was a little hard. Tamarind sauce in the chaat was tasty. Place was clean, spacious & bright in natural light. Overall fulfilling experience.
Quality and taste food with reasonable price. Great variety of Indian snacks and sweets. Nice soups options, veg machow soup was good. Pav bhaji is a must try. Lot of parking options and easily available.
