Starting off our list is Kucina Italian Restaurant, one of the earliest halal eateries focused solely on artisanal Italian food that opened in Singapore (in fact, Kucina claims they are the first!). Located in KINEX Mall in Katong (formerly known as OneKM Shopping Mall), this spacious restaurant gets regularly packed on weekends as people come to get their fill of Kucina's food. The owner and chef of Kucina, Chef Gero, is an Italian-Muslim revert with extensive experience in the industry, so you know the food is the real deal.

If you live in the West and want to buy takeaway during this period, you can now easily get their yummy dishes at Kiosko Italiano - a halal Italian takeaway kiosk by Kucina located at the NEWest mall! They're having the Cheese Wheel Pasta ($9.50), Kuccizino ($10) or also known as an Italian pocket sandwich and, of course, their signature 9-inch pizzas. The La Barca "The Boat" (V) ($15.90) is Chef's recommendation, so you know you'll have to try this one. You can also customise your pasta at Kiosko Italiano! Choose from their fancy pasta options: Chitarra, Caserecci, Tagliatelle, or their Weekly Special if you simply can't choose! They also provide four choices of sauces: Aglio Olio, Pomodoro, Arrabbiata and Rosa (Cream & Tomato). Top it all off with their variety of toppings, such as smoked salmon, truffle pate, Italian chicken sausage and more! If you can't drop by their kiosk, they still have delivery options on their website, so you can still get your customised pasta and other yummy options. Popular dishes include the Pizzotto pizza (SGD21.90), topped with turkey bacon, mushrooms, a sunny-side-up egg, tomato and mozzarella. Try some of the more unique offerings on the menu, including the gnocchi served with fresh salmon and leeks in a tomato cream sauce. Get the dessert platter to taste all the main desserts, with treats such as cannoli, tiramisu, panna cotta and more.
